About Me:

Wahahahaha!!! I'm one mad person!! I'm MAD!!!

Ok, this is my policy on Blogskins (despite being quite new).

I will give comments on random skins that I look through, or if you wish for me to comment on your skin, please drop me a note (aka gimme your name).

I have very high expectations of skins, so I'll probably be able to find something that irks me a little on every skin.

Comments that are given will not have any ratings at all. Comments that I give are strictly pertaining to the skin itself, not the maker.

As a side note, I will (hopefully) be commenting on every SOTD from now on. Cheers!

Thank you.

Being a little picky here, hope you don't mind.

Ok, the colour combination for this is grass green, white, grey and black. The woman in grey and the two phrases on her are nicely done, and stands out as a contrast to the rest of the skin. Also, the black words on the green pic can be seen very clearly and is a nice addition. By making use of the background, the blending for the two main pic in the section is done quite well too.

However, I feel that a better background can be chosen for this skin. The colours green, white and grey, though blending with the pic, is actually an eyesore when the main posting font colour is black. Perhaps other shades of green could be used or colour combinations like black and green could be used instead of the current colours. The colours for the headers can be improved as well, perhaps a outline of black instead of purely green can be made to make the header more obvious.

As the alignment of the diagonal stripes, it looks "off" in many portions. Unless this is done on purpose to create a more textured appearance like what I see, I think that the positioning could be improved upon. The coding for the skin is fairly standard, thus, the focus of it will be on the picture.

Overall, this a skin that still needs to be worked upon, especially on the colour sense. Anyway, congrats on SOTD. Cheers!

Hoho, it's me. ^_^ Ok, back to business...

First off, the colour sense for the entire skin is very good. Black
background with blue and a dabble of orange to spice things up but
yet bring out the blue colour. Also, the pic emits a very solid feeling - one-toned - but appealing. The headers are extremely cute and complement the pic perfectly. The dotted lines framing the post section is nicely done and "continues" the skin. The coding is
suitable too, in that it blends the pic with the headers nicely.

However, I feel that perhaps the font colour makes the skin a little
too dull. Perhaps orange will be a better colour for the post entry
section (words). It would bring out a stronger contrast to the black
which makes it more attractive to the eye.

It may be my browser's error, just thought to let you know anyway. The alignment when viewed in firefox in off while when viewed in IE, the colours for the blog entry section is actually of a duller shade than seen in firefox.

Great job on this simple but appealing skin. Keep it up. Cheers! Oh, and thanks for the greenie! =)

Ugh.. very hard skin to comment on, but since it's the skin of the day..

On first look, it looks awkward because the sharp weirdly shaped edges of the green skittles packet is very obvious. The woman on the utmost right of the pic looks slightly out of place as well, due to the position. It makes her look like she's popping out of the skin. The two pic of the model in green is ok, except the smaller one looks as if she's trying to stomp on the HDBs.

Have to say that this is a very unique skin with its total messiness in place. Other than the obvious green (real pic) portions, the rest were blended in quite fittingly. The use of the grid squares is a good medium to fill in the empty white space and makes a very "paper quality" sense for the skin. The black splotches is a good attempt to blend the skittles with the pic, as well as the "different paper" other than the grid which gives a little more variety of colours. The HDB... isn't very significant in the whole skin. A nice skin in general, but personally I feel that more work should be done to smooth the rough edges between 2-d and 3-d (a hard task, I know). Oh yea.. it's a fairly standard coding, but the dark brown section of the profile interferes with the main text colour. A side note, the brown area above the word 'profile' is weird.. it looks more like you've forgotten to erase the portion. As for the entire skin, I thought that perhaps it will look better if centralised instead of flushed left.

Anyway, congrats on getting SOTD. Cheers!

Hmm... red and white is.. a little too glaring on the eyes.. this shade of it. Also, the incomplete white circles does not look nice and it interferes with the straight cut post section. Perhaps the shade of red used for this skin could be duller and bring out the white in a stronger contrast. A personal opinion, but maybe there should be a little space between actual post and the white background. Fairly standard coding, but maybe the straight cuts are a bit too sharp for the profile section as it does not extend to the bottom of the screen. Anyway, it's a good effort for 2nd blogskin. Good luck and cheers!

Ok.. the colour theme here is red, white and black, the three most contrasting colours. The pic itself is very tasteful and pleasing to the eye. The use of red flowers and black stalks is complemented very well with the small circles present almost perfectly. Also, the insertion of pale orange and yellow brings a little more colour variety. The vertical stripes of red leads the viewer into a gradual shift from red to white. The words are also meaningful, but I think the tilted words on the right is too straight and glaringly standing out awkwardly. Perhaps some swirly or rounded brush could help blend it more. Another note is that the white space between the pic and the black post entry background is a little too much and "cuts" the skin into two parts. The massive amount of black for the entry and profile section is too contrasting to the white background with the straight lines. Perhaps a white background with black borders would work better. On the whole, it will be a nicer skin if the contrast black was not that distracting, but it's still nice anyway because of the beautiful pic. Cheers!

Nice skin, just that there's some alignment problems on the headers (some are exceeding the lines) A plain grey theme as the background which recesses into a darker shade is creative. It's usually left as a one-toned colour. However, my first impression on it is that the picture is overthrown by the text and post section too much due to the contrasting black words against pale grey. Also, the star-like brush colour is too heavy on a light shade background pic and looks a little fake. Dull yellow as a colour for the time is a little weird as it doesn't blend in. On a better note, the pic used to represent Christmas is very dreamy and depicts the mood very well. It's a good skin. Cheers!

I like this skin very much. The design of it is simple, plain and very pleasing to the eye. Great choice of solid colours to complement the white background and it is very creative. However, the use of the small envelopes as borders can be worked upon, as it is placed too close to the actual design itself. The blog entry space could have a larger-spaced lining design so that the words of the entry fall in the lines instead of being slightly blocked by it. In this kind of setting, it is probably better to centralise it so that the skins appears to be more balanced. A fresh design from most skins, and great job on the coding. Cheers!

A good skin with a sense of wholeness. The semi-transparent brushes makes the background of the pic simple but yet complicated. Tasteful design, but perharps the gigantic swirly should be of a brighter shade to bring a form of contrast to the whole skin instead of a one-toned colour all the way. Oh, and the fruitful use of space is to be commended upon. Cheers!

Great picture that you've used for this skin and the words you've put in creates an unique atmosphere together with the picture. The coding is also very fitting with the picture and the side portion of that shade of pink blends in. However,I feel that the swirly on the clouds is a little too excessive on top of the spot-like brush. Also, perhaps the swirly on the left would be better if it was replaced by straight lines to complement with that portion of the pic. The black coloured words on the side is slightly blurred with the presence of the pale pink swirly-like brush patch and makes it a little hard to focus on the words itself. On the blog entry portion, it is very well done with the play with the font size and words. Oh, I like the little star too! Overall, it's a great skin with much effort put into it. Cheers!
