i am sure many of you know who heroine/mothersound is. i find it disappointing to know that such a talented blogskinning is actually obessed with ratings/red flags.

i rated a few of her skins, and i think they weren't exactly perfect. i gave comments such as "the profile and entries can be moved up a bit" and also "the entry space is indeed too small". by giving these comments, i supposed it is clear-cut that you can move the profile and entries space up and you can attempt to make the entry space bigger. aren't that constructive enough?

after which she came to redflag me and said i wasn't giving her a justifiable rating and my comments weren't contructive, i need to learn to read and scolded a whole load of vulgarities at me.

i retorted saying she is being a hypocrite. you know why? in her mothersound's account profile, she said, "ratings don't mean anything to me, it's the people who use my skins that matter.".

my question is, if she weren't mindful about her ratings, why did she want to red flag me? i thought about my comments, were they really unfair/unconstructive?

think about it. she stated in her skin desc. for one of her skins that she is aware that the entry space is too small, and so if i rate it down i am a f*cktard. question is, if she KNOWS that the skin has small entry space, why not try to edit it then submit it? and what's wrong with me rating 4.5 stars because i find that the entry space is too small for writing?

besides, if she is not mindful about ratings, why didn't she go redflag people who give stupid useless unconstructive comments but end up rating 5 stars for nothing? why? it's because she still gets 5 stars streak.

bottomline is, she MINDS a lot about ratings.

right after i gave her a redflag, she edited her profile and said she's leaving, that people don't respect her so she can't respect people either. it's quite obvious she is referring to me, but i dont see in what ways am i disrespecting her?

you mean giving 4.5 stars or less to a skin is equal to disrespecting the blogskinning?

anyway. does it really matter if i leave constructive or unconstructive comments? do you really care? i see that even if you think other people's comments are constructive, you didnt take the effort to edit the skin to improve on the area which needs to be worked on.
these "contructive comment" is really subjective; i dont know what is your definition of "constructive" comments, but i know what i am talking about. and fact is, if i think there is room for improvement, i will comment and leave you a rating as approperiate.
