one day, while i was talking online, a random friend suddenly told me "your msn nick is rubbish. nothing lasts forever."

and it struck me there and then that my friend made perfect sense.

family will fade away, sometimes wrong you.
friends will leave you eventually.
the things you hold dear will one day perish.
success and fame may last for a while, but hey. as you plod along the road of life, they lose their importance.

so, what lasts.
