Try putfile.com
It allows media and/or images as well...
Images will not be resized unlike photobucket BUT be careful as it may do so(seldom)..
It allows PNG & JPG...
And it's FREE!~

I think you will find most free hosting doesn't allow copyright mp3s and if they do they probably won't allow direct links to them. Here a couple of good free hosts I use. Sitesled doesn't even have forced ads so it's probably the best free host I've ever used (my site, modtang.sitesled.com, has been running on their hosting for over a year with no problems).

These guys have a banner thingy at the top but if you're only using the space to link to files then this won't affect you.
