Dear Myles,
I hope you can give thread makers the rights to delete their own thread(s).
One of the advantages is if they are only trying to ask a question,
for example: How do I use blogskins?
After they get the answer, they can delete the thread.
Another advantage is that when any of us delete any threads, there'll be less threads for people to dig up. (This has been a problem, people keep digging up old threads which are not important)

I like the idea too. Alternatively, they could allow thread authors to lock the thread so that people don't post on their threads after their questions have been answered

But locking threads means the threads are still there...
Will they waste internet space?
