How on earth do I make my blog a public blog?

  go to settings publishing choose 'yes' under Public blog? go back to posts and hit 'publish' (the yellowish button).

  no i mean on here. when I look up my name it says i have no public blogs but when I click "My Blogs" at the top, I have my blogs listed.
