Click: http://good-tutorials.com
I think many of you may have seen this site already (does that make me slow?), but I still want to post it here 'cos I find most of the stuff in there pretty useful I browsed through some of the Photoshop tutorials, and some of them are hard. Imagine! Some tutorials have 6-7 pages... Extremely informative with lots of screenshots! To date there are about 20+ HTML tutorials, not as much as the Photoshop ones. They are pretty abstruse OK skip that. I have also found out that other graphics cum resources domains such as http://aethereality.net, http://celestial-star.net and affiliated domains have tutorials which are exactly the same. Furthermore, such domains have jumbled up tutorials and it is a little difficult to look for the one that you want. To make things worse, advertisements are streamed across the place. -.- With http://good-tutorials.com, you can look no further as the tutorials are neatly organised in a systemic manner. If I am not wrong, there are featured tutorials every day, and it's always good to keep checking around the site 'cos I find them superbly interesting and outstanding! Well, enough of the yakking, I guess you should try looking at it now
Some cool tutorials:
Creating a custom smiley: http://www.tutorialwall.com/digital-art/creating-a-custom-smiley (great for your tagboard smilies, I guess)
Beautiful snowy sky: http://www.pstut.info/tutorials/beautiful-snowy-sky (although the Blogskins Christmas Competition is over, it's no harm giving this a try )
Turning day into night: http://www.adidap.com/2007/12/10/photoshop-tutorial-turning-day-into-night (maybe many of you won't find this interesting or appealing, but I love how detailed and informative this tutorial is and who knows, it might just come in handy one day it's short for a complicated tutorial too)
Everything about text in Photoshop: http://www.snowdrip.com/2007/12/everything-about-text-in-photoshop (I don't find the 'how to make text follow a path' tutorial really good, probably because I screwed up the pen tool or something. But the rest are OK, and that is what matters )
Creating smoke or steam: http://www.cubox.info/2007/12/23/creating-smoke-or-steam.html (usually I would apply a light gray brush to my work and smudge it later. This tutorial is more comprehensive and detailed as it includes changing layer opacities, duplicating layers, using the line tool and etcetera. Of course, not to mention the cool screenshots as 'seeing is believing')
... And lots more!
Done!
I hope someone can reply to this thread so that I know that at least one person has read this
Also, if you do come across other cool and funky tutorials, please do not hesitate to post the URLs here 'Cos I will also continue posting my new findings here!
