Gimp is more or less a mini-photoshop which has most of Photoshop's tools / controls. What's even better is that Gimp is FREE! Why use $600 on something you don't really know how to use when you can get a not-that-sophisticated-but-still-really-good program for free?
Just go to download.com and search in "gimp".
Make sure you download the installer at the gimp site before anything.

Currently i have a problem dling GIMP.
I've tried both download.com and gimp.org.
Anyone have the similar problem?

i'm using GIMP too and i think it's fab
but can i use it to make vector images? i'd like to know.

go google it. there's a tutorial of converting abr brushes to gbr.
and the process's kind o ftedious, but once you get the hang of it,
it'll be easy.
i use gimp for all my skins.
