Recently,
i came across people who totally rip of skins.
they just copy the code and claim it's theirs.
some even WITHOUT changing the credits and stuff.
it's okay to use other people's codes if you get permission and credit them.But i totally detest people whom just copy the blogskin code and submit it.CLAIMING IT'S THEIRS.
it's totally un acceptable.
what do you think?

i second that.
what if those codes are belonging to them
or mayb belongs to someone else..that the person u took the codes
dint even credited..
or mayb Pictures that are peoples and they edited it
they claim that its theirs and they'r proud of it(:
but i think credit-ing people is the best so u wont make a big
deal of it,so people wont come and spam ur blog or something saying
"this codes are his/hers credited them"
so i think i should second that(:!
huh,why dont blogskin have like police petrol to see whose not
credit-ing peoples blog skins codes ?..

and just changed the credits.
and claimed it's his/hers.

There is a way to force the credits and making it extremely difficult for a ripper to change the credits using javascript.

Not that it's impossible, but it will give the ripper a headache to remove/change the credits.
If the ripper is able to remove, I would really wonder why rip? After all, the ripper is intelligent enough to design his/her skin.

if you would not want your design to be ripped, then don't upload it to blogskins.com. because that would really defeat the purpose.
blogskins is a community to share skins and designs, and when you upload your design, it implies that you allow people to download and use your skin.
anyway, people would be aware of whether a skin is ripped.
do you think rippers will rip unpopular skins? i think seldom.

 i still accept basecodes, because i do that  but i credit them! but can blogskinners just paste the whole code there and claim to be their skin! horrible. hate it. blehh

put their blogskins url on the image themselves?
but it only applies to rippers who rip the whole skin.

What about people who rip off layouts of non-blog websites?
I've recently commented on a skin whereby it's a total rip-off of QueenofDorks website, but the girl did not credit QoD. Even more, she added her own blog-link to the image crudely.
I was more shocked by the fact that even though I reported that skin and commented on it with the link back to QueenofDork's website, no one seem to notice. Weird.

Like one ripper, 30 downloads, might be more or less 20 people using it, with her name on it.

yea; to me i think rippers only rip unpopular skins . Agree with sweetest_addiction . Why would they want to rip a popular skin since so many pple noes the skin and obviously that person ripped.
Rippers are idiots . I think some of them think that since they cant make blogskins,they rip and say its theirs; so their acc at least got one skin.LOL. Stupid.

my schoolmate rips skin.... she doesn't care even if the someone who imposed the maker of the skin ( i donno who but the blogskinner said she did not) said please stop ripping my skins.
and it was a quite famous skin lol... i think for her current skin she did not rip.
and another person said, since i only use the base codes, and hence didn't credit. then i was like wth...

God, i've seen countless of rippers. Like the person who ripped miss_toiletbowl's skin. It was a cr8tive one.
Another type i saw was someone who ripped xmissyger's skin and then removed her credits, typed her full name there too. (under credits)
C'mon it's ppl hard work!
God i hate those people...

no edits
but the credits remain the same
& !!!!! the title says UGLY SKIN

my god,this has been repeated a few times ago.
either you just ignore them,post your comment on the ripped skin of theirs.
I agree with detonatedlove♥ for that.
blogskins.com is a community for sharing skins and expose to the outside with your designs and all.
if you don't want to get your skin ripped,you might as well just don't submit it.
& I also agree with IcedLemonTea.
rippers are people who are idiots who don't know how to appreciate one's effort for finding all the resources and for coding the whole layout in a period of time.
You can think whatever of me,but this topic has been repeated a few times ago like what I stated above.
