the thing is, how do you make a skin which is messed up in FF, Firefox friendly?

  Sometimes there are codes in IE which FF cannot read. However I am not very sure what the codes are. That, you may have to figure out yourself. If not, you may want to try going to w3schools.com. I assume that the html and css that they teach should be the proper codes that allow your skins to work both in ff and ie.
