I am curious have any of your school conducts this sex education topic in secondary school where the health education people will come down to your school to teach you on that and teaches you to use condom.
omg, my school is doing that for the sec4 tml. I am "so" excited.

Gosh. Really? They even teach you how to use a condom? Are they really gonna demonstrate it so explicitly? =_=

the teachers gave us this consent form to let our parents sign. If the parent don't want it (because of reglious), then the child will not need to attend.
where, my teacher say that they will be showing lots of photos tommorow plus demonstrating of how to use condoms correctly

zomglol wouldn't you be so embarrassed to show that kind of consent form to your parents? I guess when your parents see that form, they'll be telling you -

I haven't heard of any news about sex education in my school. My school do does something about it but I don't think they will go to that extent. I hope.
I once passed by this classroom where they show this list of notes regarding on pregnancy and stuffs on the visualizer. That's my only experience of sex education in secondary school.
In primary school they just teach about wet dreams and erm, how to shave, that kind of basic things.

Once, I heard of news that says that the health minister is doing this to prevent un-protected sex to happen. Well, all guys are excited about this, they wouldn't show the consent form to their parent haha.
And this is not conducted by our school, its by the health officer in some where in singapore.

They always make me laugh for some reason. Somehow more 'taboo' topics like this are very amusive to me. Not too long ago our school held some talk on STDs. I can tell you that the pictures shown were utterly disgusting.

O_o I think it's those pictures of infections of bodies, just trying to freak you out so that you'll think twice before you step the boundary.
Actually I quite agree with the health minister. Rather than teaching people how not to abstain from it, you rather play safe and go one step further by teaching the basics. At least it'll lower the number of cases of premarital, unprotected, pregnancy-resulting sex.
It's kinda appalling to know of cases of teenagers getting involved in such issues and deciding to go for abortion.
P/S Those health officers must have been trained thoroughly to talk about such topics unreservedly. lol

in my school we had to learn about STDs for bio. as in it's tested in exams. 
and the teacher showed us how to use a condom. she got a classmate to come up and put it on a table leg :X
(i can never think of table legs in the same way again)
but i guess it's not so bad considering it's a girls school.

last year p5 my sch has ppl comin into our sch talkin abt sex education, sadartery(dunno how to spell) pads n even worse, bras(some more got 2 talks!)!!

I'm from Australia, and I think we've grown out of that system now (at least in my school).
Though we're taught about practically every type of contraceptive.
And we have plenty of videos, LOL.
Sex education is inducted pretty early - we're well aware of "it" by sixth grade.

im from australia too & just recently our year 11s had to have a seminar on "safe sex & contrceptions". to be honest it was quite stupid because half the people already knew all the information they were giving, & the other half didnt care. my year is REALLY open about sex. its kind of a common topic. i go to an all girls school btw.
& in year 10, in our PDHPE class, some girls & to demonstrate how to put on a condom on a plastic banana. it was hilarious!

oh when i was in p5, they invited someone (from whisper i think, lo and behold) to come and teach the girls how to use pads. like it was a demonstration thing so this woman placed a pair of undies under the visualiser and like sort of went about it. it was all girls then.
but later on, the teachers gave out pads and there were boys in the lecture theatre with us so it was damn funny cause half the guys didnt know what that weird "square thing" was.
