THIS IS A COMPETITION ORIGINALLY HELD BY HERMONSHYA (NOW MISSED-THEFEAST)
Pre-Note (only to people who knew the matter. If you don't know what I mean, then the message isn't for you =D):
Thanks to all participants who have gone through with us the so-called "crisis" in this competition, by waiting for the almost non-existent results day. If the inadvertent human error did not happen, the results would have been announced long ago. So, I hereby apologise, on behalf of hermonshya and DayBefore!Misery, to all participants for any inconvenience and distress caused to you arising from this matter. I would also like to thank the passers-by of the complaint and resubmission threads for their concern and advices with regards on the competition that has almost broken down, also to apologise to them for our unacceptable venting of anger and sarcasm in the thread. Although you may have gotten the wrong idea of the story, I still am thankful for your concern and apologetic for my ignorance. Lastly, let's bury the hatchet, forget all the sadness and anger caused by this matter and continue with the competition! =D
THE NON-NAVIGATIONAL LANDSCAPE COMPETITION
Theme
Participants are required to create one or more blogskin(s) in accordance to, or with at least much emphasis on any of the themes below:
- Landscape
- Nature
- City
- Countryside
- Buildings
- Skyscrapers
- Sky
- Cable cars
- Planes
- et cetera...
We believe that there will be more themes to be added in the list. Therefore, if you are in doubt of whether your desired theme will be accepted in this competition, please do not hesitate to post about your doubt in this thread and the judges/host will reply with regards to your doubt.
Design, Layout
Participants must create their skins on only a single webpage, i.e. a non-navigational skin as suggested by the title of this competition. Entries (skins submitted) must be created in English language, or at least with much emphasis on English language in the case where other languages are used. Entries can be designed in any way as long as the whole skin is on a single webpage as mentioned previously. Designs of entries must not contain any offensive or profane language. Elements not designed by the participant can be used as a part of an entry.
Content
All content of the skin must be contained within a single webpage like the design and layout. Content must be in English language, or at least with much emphasis on English language in the case where other languages are used. Content must not contain any offensive or profane language. Content must also show all recognitions, attributions and credits of all resources used in the creation of the blogskin, and also of all elements not designed or partly designed by the participant. All recognitions, attributions and credits must be linked to the exact and direct sources of the resources and elements.
Codes
Codes must be created in accordance to the right standards, in order to get a high score in the criterion of Codes.

Submission for NEW PARTICIPANTS
If you have not participated in this competition before and would like to participate, or if you are a re-submitter who would like to be enlightened with the submission rules, please read this:
All entries must be submitted into Blogskins.com and have the *competition banner inserted in the skin description.

Participants can start submitting the URLs of their entries in this thread once they have seen this thread. No submissions will be entertained or accepted after 10th March 2008 (GMT+8 2359 hours).
Judgment
The judges are:
- DayBefore!Misery (Karen)
- hysterically-weird (Jeremy, also competition host)
We will collect the codes of all entries on 10th March 2008 (GMT+8 2359 hours) and judge them in accordance to the criteria below:
- Design (10)
- Layout & Content (10)
- Codes (10)
- Visual Appeal (10)
- Originality and Creativity (10)

Please note that the statistics of the entries (including whether it has attained SOTD) will not be considered within the judgment.
Results
Results will be announced during the period from 10th March 2008 (GMT+8 2359 hours) to 16th March 2008 (GMT+8 2359 hrs). URLs of images stating the participation in this competition will be distributed to all participants at that time. As for the champion, first and second runners-up, they will be distributed the URLs of images stating their attainments. These images can then be inserted into your entries' skin descriptions.
Disqualification
Participants failing to comply with the abovementioned rules will be issued an official warning (as a comment in the skin page). If the errant participant does not change his/her entry in accordance to the rules before the deadline [10th March 2008 (GMT+8 2359 hours)], the entry will be rendered void and forfeited its opportunity for any attainment.

Hello guys!
Today's the last day for submissions!
Any submission posted later than 2359 hours (GMT +8) today (10 March 2008) will be rendered VOID.
CURRENT PARTICIPANTS PLEASE READ THE BELOW CAREFULLY TO MAKE SURE YOUR SUBMISSION WILL BE QUALIFIED
Once the clock strikes the coming 0000 hours (GMT +8), we (judges) will start checking all submissions for the competition banner.
If it is absent in the Skin Description, the submission will be rendered VOID.
No request for clemency will be entertained. Rules are rules, they are meant to be followed.
Next, we'll also check if the skin does comply with the rules (including the check for relevancy to theme). If the submission is in breach of the rules, the submission will be rendered VOID.
Especially, accuracy of credits and acknowledgements will be strictly audited during the check. If the links in the credits are not direct and exact, or not even accessible, the submission be rendered VOID.
Only if your submission has fully complied with the rules, will your submission be officially qualified.
Although disqualified submissions will not have the opportunity to compete for the top attainments, as a way of thanking you for at least participating in the competition, we will be commenting on your submissions too.
In the event that you are puzzled by or dissatisfied with the judgement - comments on the submissions and disqualification etc - please do not hesitate to email your explanation to jeremyteng@msn.com with a prominent and relevant subject.
You can also email to the address above if you would like to challenge the disqualification.
Sometimes, judges do misunderstand and make mistakes , so please do not get too offended if we happen to misjudge. To err is human =D
