I would like to thank (not to mention congratulate) all of you (especially Maystar) for completing what you wanted to do in the first place. I officially declare my resignation from BlogSkins.Com, as I see that this is, simply, just a great show of free speech. There are many kind people here, so many that I won't have time to name them all. And, of course, there are those who are rude, those who instigate, those who choose to start up rumors. I am thankful to have had the chance to stay on BlogSkins.Com for so long, and I am sorry that there are people out there who are idiotic enough to create "fake profiles" (a term coined by Maystar). That is truly pathetic and it is sad that I was ever accused of ever having any. Maystar, I hope this clears things up. Sorry for the inconvienience, everyone, I just wanted to clear my name. You don't have to believe that I am totally and truly innocent, but that would be highly appreciated.

How sad is it that at this moment that top two blogs are Congratulations and Fine I'll tell everyone. And not to be disagreeable, but maystar does not suck, she one of the best designers here I think. You dont suck either! I dont understand what's up with this or why my name is being mentioned, but... whatever. I do it for the people who are interested enough to leave proper, cunstructive criticism. Myles must be so sad, since he works so hard to make this and look what it's become!

Thanks JustCrazyJ8 and sketch. I also like Maystar's skins, and I also think it is very sad that people work so hard to make these nice skins and all other people can do is leave comments like "f*** this this f****** sucks." It is also very sad to note that, one day I was just another BlogSkins contributor, getting normal comments and ratings...and the next day, I find my reputation slashed at and my ratings and comments down. sketch, thanks for all of the comments, you are definitely one of the most agreeable people here.

Why does anyone care whose skins suck and whose don't? Seriously! People spend hours upon hours to give people something for absolutely nothing and there are people here who have to bash them because that something isn't up to their standards. Some of my stuff blows, but you know what? Nobody has to use it.
And I got one of my skins ripped off and put up with stuff like "ugly!" all over it and nasty comments for my other skins. But you knwo what? It's not worth getting upset about. I've had someone take my entire website and posted it on Angelfire as their own, even passing off old pictures of me as themselves. I found out that there's really nothing I could do because I hadn't really documented things like my photography and such, and it's still up soemwhere on Angelfire. That was worth getting slightly upset about, but this? They've just skins and they're just some bored people who feel like causing trouble. And you know who let's them cause trouble? You know who let's them upset people? The people who make a big deal out of this. I doesn't matter. Some people will think your skins suck, some will think they're the best thing ever. Like I said before, I've had wonderful work asbhed again and again while absolute crap has gotten glowing praise. It's human nature to have opinions, and for most of them to be painfully moronic. Want to avoid all the drama? Well, either ignore it or start only distributing your skins through your own website.

Oh, and I just wanetd to say that it's not that I'm gettign all pissy at anyone. I keep commenting on this whole issue because, honestly, I feel bad for you guys. I've have work on the internet since I was 14 (I'm 21 now) and it's been getting ripped off and such pretty much that whole time (my forte is photos, not skins) and I've been through th e"how dare they do this! I have to do something!" phase. It just sort of pains me to see other people upsetting themselves for this stuff because I know that it's not worth it, and I know that as long as you have stuff anywhere online, you'll have to deal with it but it doesn't matter.

Fake profile accusation. Rather harsh slandering of screenname. Ratings dropping by the day. Wow, I make it sound so extreme. No, it wasn't a big deal at all, Maystar and I settled it over AIM. A bit funny, now that I think of it. =P

This reply is really late, but... Lords, some of these fake profiles are so hilariously obvious. Shan't name any of them, but seriously, how Pathetic is it to rank other peoples' skins down just to raise your own ranking. At first I was really upset about the 'ranking others' skins down' issue too. (Maybe that's why a lot of people who used to make skins have stopped as well?) At least there's the top downloaded table, which is a better indication of quality.

Sadly, people don't understand how much time and effort goes into creating a skin. I think only designers should be allowed to comment and rank skins. (Not possible, but that would be nice.)

No, I disagree. We should all be allowed to rank skins. Not all designers might rank fairly anyway. There might be people who give useless or baseless comments, but those are not for your eyes; look at those who give you encouraging or criticisms which make sense. Those people who have nothing better to do than to give pathetic comments/ratings should just be ignored. Let them fade into the background.
